About our show

The purpose of The Bible Live is to help fulfill the command of Jesus the Messiah (see Mt. 28:18-20) by allowing as many people as possible hear the Bible, trusting the God of the Bible to encourage and strengthen believers, answer questions of those exploring the Biblical message, and influence families, communities, and even nations to meet the Biblical conditions for spiritual awakening and blessing.

On The Bible Live podcast, hear the scriptures read every year (see the reading schedule below). The Bible Live is not about Soapy, and it’s not merely another program ABOUT the Bible.  Over half of the 26-minute program IS the Bible.  After a quick review of the previous night’s reading so new listeners have some context for the reading, Soapy begins a flawless reading of the ancient scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, the entire Bible each year. Alternating between Old and New Testaments books, he goes from start to finish through both, serving a Psalm or Proverb as the Wisdom & Worship segment of each evening. Thus, he offers his listeners the riveting stories, the moral lessons, the history, poetry, romance, and drama of the Bible itself, that Book we’ve all heard so much about but just can’t find time to read for ourselves.

Every Sunday at 9:00 p.m. (Central) The Bible Live Quiz Show hits the airways over America's 7th largest city and forty surrounding South Texas counties.  You can call Soapy live during the program on KSLR-AM630, and then hear it or share it with others on the Quiz Show podcast at the radio station's website, am630theword.com

Soapy has an undergrad degree in mathematics, a Master’s degree in Christian Ministry, an honorary doctorate, and fifty years of ministry experience to answer questions and offer spiritual counsel. However, he emphasizes basic truths held in common by most believers, reminding listeners that to grow they need a spiritually healthy church family and pastor for fellowship and finer doctrinal instruction.

“The Bible is the best-selling, most translated book in history.  Almost everyone and every family has one … somewhere… if we could only remember where we last saw it.”  Soapy
